DAVID S. ANDERSON

As an archaeologist I have a passion for cultural heritage and the amazing success story that is the human race. I received my Ph.D. in Anthropology from Tulane University in 2010 with a focus on the archaeology of the ancient Maya. Since then my research has expanded to examine the complex problems presented by pseudoarchaeological claims such as "Ancient Aliens" and Atlantis. I think it is critical to both demonstrate that such claims are not true and to acknowledge that they present powerful narratives that draw people in. Archaeologists can no longer to simply dismiss and ignore these claims.
